Check out the CLI tool for nuget.
I've always found setting up external nuget packages as a stressful and annoying process. That's when I became a massive fan of using CLI rather than Rider's or VS's UI.
Commands:
nuget sources
- spits out a list of available nuget sourcesnuget sources update -Name "nugetName" -source "UrlOrLocalSource" -UserName "OptionalUser" -Password "OptionPassword"
nuget add <packagePath> -Source <sourcePath> [options]
There are two ways of temporarily adding a project/library. This is mainly done while testing the solution locally, and you need to make sure the whole flow works as expected. The first way is to add the project to your current solution and add it as a reference. In most cases that's the quickest path, but you can also achieve it with nuget.
In your csproj file add following:
<PropertyGroup>
<PackageId>LibraryName</PackageId>
<Version>1.0.0</Version>
<Company>Company name</Company>
<Authors>Gregory</Authors>
<GeneratePackageOnBuild>true</GeneratePackageOnBuild>
</PropertyGroup>
